Your Guide, Captain and Photography Expert, Dave Eddy
Dave was born and raised in beautiful British Columbia and has extensive knowledge and experience in operating vessels on the Pacific Ocean and has owned the 42' Trawler DaeMar (named after Dave and his wife Marni) for the last 8 years. He offers you his experience and unforgettable ecotours, birding, wildlife and hiking trips to see the scenic beauty of the area.
Vancouver Photo Excursions is based in White Rock on the BC. mainland. From this centrally located community, only 40 minutes from downtown Vancouver, we conduct excursions to various locations such as Bowen Island, English Bay overlooked by beautiful downtown Vancouver and the gulf islands on the east coast of Vancouver Island.
Safety:
Vancouver Photo Excursions priority is to offer ecotours, hiking and photo excursions that are safe. These trips are fairly easy for anyone - families, adults, and those who have recently retired. Each trip starts with a safety talk. The DaeMar will cruise you to a designated island where you will disembark and start your hiking tour with many photo opportunities all along the way. You will be secure in knowing that Daves experience and expertise will get you safely there and back again to share all your photos and memories with friends and loved ones.

What You Will Receive: |

Each trip is an opportunity to discover the natural beauty and history of an incredible part of the world. You will learn about the trees, flowers, birds, fish and animals. And the scenery is fabulous! |
| • | Individual gourmet lunches and drinks for the full day-trips. Drinks & snacks for the other trips. (Please let us know about dietary requirements) |

What you bring on Our Ecotours: |

| • | Warmer clothing. Dress in layers as it can be a little cool in the morning and warms up during the day |
| • | Hiking boots are recommended. For all trips sturdy, rubber-soled shoes should be worn. |
| • | Knapsack or bag to put the clothes in if it warms up; |
| • | On sunny days a hat sunscreen and sun glasses. |
| • | On hot days, a bathing suit and towel. |
| • | Biting insects are generally not a problem on Vancouver's west coast, but repellent is a good idea. |
| • | Cameras and film; |
| • | Please let us know if you have any allergies or dietary requirements; |
| • | Willingness to sign a waiver. |
About The Daemar
The DaeMar is a 42 ft LOA Marine Trader Trawler built in Taiwan in 1978. She is powered by twin Ford Lehman Diesel engines and travels an average speed of 9 Knots (16 ½ KPH). Her hull is of fiberglass and she travels very well in our Pacific Northwest waters. She has been our labor of love for the past 8 years and we are very proud of her. The DaeMar is fully equipped with navigational and communication aids including 2 GPS units and a 24 mile Radar. She has an 8 KW Diesel generator set and a fully equipped galley with oven and stove, refrigerator and freezer, toaster oven, microwave and Ice maker. She has 2 “heads” one with small bathtub and one with a shower. There are sleeping accommodations for 6 and the spacious upper deck will sit 12 comfortably. We carry an 11 ft AVON dinghy with a 15 hp YAMAHA 4 stroke engine.
